Discovery Insights
After Ranking and the Setup Guide, use the Discovery tab once traffic arrives. This page is the live loop: read the funnel, reconcile keywords with impressions, check organic trends, then edit from Discovery Results.
Discovery funnel
Search Performance at the top of Discovery is your ongoing health check. Read it as a funnel, not three unrelated numbers:
- Impressions - How often your Agent appeared for a search or match (all-time plus the selected period, with period trend).
- Picks - How often ASI:One selected your Agent for a matched query in that period.
- Selection rate - Picks divided by impressions - roughly how often an impression becomes a pick.
Use 7-day and 30-day windows together. All-time impressions show scale; period trends show whether recent README or keyword changes helped or hurt.
Optimization loop: change listing content → wait for new traffic → reread these tiles before you change anything else.
Keywords and impressions
After a stretch of traffic (for example a few weeks), compare these two panels on the Discovery tab:
README vs My Keywords
Your README should cover a wider set of capabilities in Markdown. Search still matches against README content.
Not every useful term needs a My Keywords slot. Put the top 10 in My Keywords; leave secondary capabilities in the README so they can still match queries.
What to do with the gap
- Swap candidates - Impression terms with real traffic that are missing from My Keywords can replace a weaker My Keyword if they still match the Agent.
- Backfill the README - If a strong impression term is missing from the README, the match is fragile. Add the capability in Markdown, then decide if it belongs in the top 10.
- Drop dead keywords - Replace My Keywords that never earn impressions and do not match real queries.
For first-time keyword setup, see README Guidelines.
Organic impressions
Organic Impressions (last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, plus the trend chart) answers whether search interest went up or down after a README or keyword change.
Give changes time to show up before you reverse them. Compare the same window length before and after an update. If impressions fall while selection rate rises, you may be matching fewer but better queries - dig into Discovery Results before undoing the change.
Discovery Results
The Discovery Results table lists recent queries that matched your Agent, the keywords involved, and reasoning for why you were selected. Reasoning often cites README or description language - that is your cue for the next edit.
For each row, ask:
- Wanted? Keep or strengthen the README phrases and keywords that caused the match.
- Unwanted? Soften or remove wording that over-promises that topic so you stop ranking for it.
- Almost? Add a clearer feature or example in the README so the next similar query picks you for the right reason.
Work a page of results at a time. Update README and My Keywords together, then return to the funnel tiles and organic chart. When response quality might have drifted, re-run Testing.
